Soundsketching´s visual language is based on abstract ink painting on japanese drawing paper. The images projected on screen are created by using special camera lenses, focus effects or variable shutter speeds. Camera movement and choreographed lighting add a cinematic layer to the performance.
Improvisation makes every performance a unique experience in which non-reproducible images are created live on stage. Special moments are extracted from the filmed material and find their way through an extensive postproduction and compositing process to large scale prints.
An exhibition featuring these prints, the original drawings and audiovisual installations is underway.
